The Veronicas 'Untouched' Free Music Video
The Veronicas are an internationally renowned and award winning electro-pop duo from Australia. Originally formed in 2004, The Veronicas are made up of twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso who, following a departure from a girl band, decided to develop their song writing skills and music composition to form their own cool duo. Hailing from Brisbane, the Australian sisters have been working together musically since the age of five and their success is growing year by year.
After being signed by a record label in 2004, the then twenty-year-old girls were introduced by Hayden Bell to many top hit making song writers like Max Martin, Billy Steinberg and Cliff Magness who had worked with artists like Madonna, Britney Spears, Pink, Cyndi Lauper and Katy Perry. By working with such high quality names in the music industry so early on, the girls developed a real sense of who they were and what kind of music they wanted to produce. Their début album, entitled 'The Secret Life Of…' was released in 2005 in Australia and was well received by critics and listeners alike. Now four times platinum, the album spawned five singles: 'Everything I'm Not', '4ever', 'When It All Falls Apart', 'Revolution' and 'Leave Me Alone'.
Following the massive success of their first album, the girls headed back to the studio in 2007 to create their second album, but this time did so in L.A. with the help of a team of super-producers. Their second album was released in Australia in November 2007 to widespread success and has already been listed by ARIA as double platinum. This album 'Hook Me Up' signals a maturity in the two ladies and L.A.'s electro-pop scene has definitely helped the girls create a deeper, more electro sound to their music. The first single, also titled 'Hook Me Up' highlights this change with its 80s influenced synths, techno beats and guitars and feisty sexy lyrics. The music video also shows the girls sassy rebellious sides and their arty and alternative video style.

The second single from the album, 'Untouched', is similarly feisty, with heavy guitars, strong synths and a powerful electro beat. The song also has great vocals; The Veronicas have said that the vocals related to the idea of long distances relationships as distance makes people untouched. Like 'Hook Me Up' it also shows the duo's move away from a pop rock genre to that of electro techno. The song has become so popular that it has been featured on a number of video games and advertisements, even on "So You Think You Can Dance" USA and Australia. Notably the song also became the groups breakout song in the US, getting to the top 20 of the Billboard 100 and staying there for a number of weeks.
