The world renowned German industrial metal band Rammstein will be releasing ‘Haifisch’ the latest single from their hugely successful album – ‘Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da’, translated as ‘Love is there for all’, which is sure to satisfy eagerly awaiting fans. The single is to be released on the 31st of May this year and is accompanied by a brand new and extraordinary music video.
>‘Haifisch’ is yet another musical masterpiece from the band who present dark and at times sinister themes within their music, never shying away from controversy. The beginning of the song has an almost ominous yet majestic feel to it, however it takes a dramatic change to what feels almost upbeat with an addictive driving force. As ever Till Lindemann does not fail to impress with his powerful vocals and commanding presence within the song. This track is particularly interesting as it has a different feel to it compared to the band's earlier work; there is a more playful mix of powerful sinister vocals mixed with dark but subtly comic music. Although the music is great, it is a little more subdued than previous much loved Rammstein tracks which could be described as being quite heavy.
Accompanying the new track, Rammstein have released the music video for Haifisch. Rammstein's music videos are definitely worth watching as the band put a great deal of storytelling into their videos. This storytelling can often give great insight into the song itself and this video is no exception. The video revolves around the funeral of Till and depicts various murder scenarios each of which feature a fellow band mate securing his demise. The video, although sombre with a heavy storyline, isn't taken too seriously. The great thing about Rammstein's music videos is that, although there are scenes of violence and sinister themes running throughout there is usually an element of comedy within which makes for brilliant viewing.
The album ‘Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da’ has received great reviews and has been a great success for Rammstein. It was the bands sixth studio album which followed on from their last album ‘Rosenrot’ which was released back in 2005. The first single released from Rammstein's new album was entitled ‘Pussy’ which was recorded in English, the video has been the subject of some controversy as it contained scenes of a graphic sexual nature. Despite this, Rammstein have gone from strength to strength and have a large and loyal following all over the world. Their new track ‘Haifisch’ is refreshingly different yet still maintains all that makes Rammstein great, which is the dark and powerful vocals of Till accompanied by a strong driving rhythm. Rammstein seem to be pushing forward and experimenting with new musical styles, yet they maintain their powerful edge. The new single ‘Haifisch’ is sung in German and its addictive beat mixed in with the haunting vocals of Till are sure to make it a big hit. Although it is possible some Rammstein fans may not take well to the track being a little lighter than previous songs, ‘Haifisch’, like the album, should be well received.
